DIY Bullet Journal | Traveler's Notebook Style

[Open for all supplies, links and other info!] Here’s a tutorial on how I made my own DIY Bullet Journal, Traveler’s Notebook style! It only cost me about £1.50/insert and £5/cover (the total cost of the supplies will be higher, but you can make multiple inserts and covers).

------- SUPPLIES USED -------
I linked similar products if I couldn’t find the exact ones, however I do recommend buying the supplies from your local craft store. If you’re from the UK, I recommend shopping for supplies from Hobbycraft (that’s where I bought everything).

----Inserts (notebooks)---
• Paper (from Daler Rowney Sketchbook). Feel free to use any paper that you like.

---Alternative Inserts---

---Cover---
I recommend buying the supplies from the craft store.
• Pleather (from local fabric store): it was about £4 for enough material to make about 4 covers

Did I forget to link something? Let me know in the comments!

------- WHERE ELSE TO FIND ME -------

------- PO BOX -------
If you ever want to send me a letter to say hi, I’d be so happy to hear from you!!

------- MY FILMING AND EDITING EQUIPMENT -------
• Canon 77D (18-55mm lens and 50mm lens):
• Tripod (for over-head shots):
• Editing: Adobe Premiere Pro

Well after watching a zillion videos on how to make a traveler's notebook arrangement, I don't have to look at any more videos. Your method is by far the best and makes a really professional and serviceable notebook that will last a while. Thank you!

I really like what you did here. You are actively creating instead of just consuming. I love how popular these travel journals are, and I love anything that inspires people to write more but I am not a fan of feeling the need to go out and buy things just to scratch the creative itch. I feel the benefit to taking your time to create something like this is that you will end up writing in it more often because of the pride you feel in it. It truly becomes YOUR journal. Thank you for the wonderful content.

This is so easy to make! Unlike other YouTubeers who just use materials that we can't afford!

Okay so I usually don't comment that much but I finished this project today! I made 4 holes on the top and bottom and chose a dark brown for the fake leather. It's so beautiful and I can't thank you enough for this great tutorial!

Hi! To keep the elastic from undying themselves, put a couple of drops of nail polish on the knot! If you coat the elastic ends with nail polish, they will be less likely to fray also. PVA glue (white school glue) works as well, it needs more than one coat to get the same results as the nail polish though. Also, if you put a little clear nail polish on the eyelets, they will take WAY longer to tarnish! Thanks for a great video!

When using staples be aware than unless they are brass they will eventually rust and damage the pages - this will take a good number of years, but if you want it to last there are many Japanese sewing/bookbinding techniques that will let you have pages that will open flat without any rust problems

I really appreciate the care and attention to detail when describing various methods to accomplish the same thing, like how to punch holes with eyelets and how to secure the eyelets no matter what kind of tool you had. This is such a wholesome tutorial and just a pleasure to watch.

If only ALL videos were like this one: no annoying music, no unrelated chatter, no distractions like barking dogs or crying babies -- just clear instructions and excellent camera angles. You should make a video about how to make a video! Thank you.

Made 7 of these for the lady's in my family's Christmas presents and they were a huge hit! They loved them and are still using them 4 months later. Thanks for making the instructions so clear!

I was watching some videos, because I like travellers note books a lot, just to enjoy. But now, after watching this one I am going to make a new one for me... similar to yours. Loved it!
