Background
Opened in 2015, Sims Avenue Park Connector uses the railway reserve of the East-West MRT line between Kembangan and Paya Lebar MRT stations, providing a cycling connection away from the busy Sims Avenue and Geylang Roads. When it was opened, raised informal crossings were built along its alignment where it intersects minor roads between Eunos and Kembangan.

Announced in 2019, Geylang-to-City is an inter-town cycling path along Guillemard Road which was built in 2022 to connect Sims Avenue and Geylang Park Connectors together, thus providing another cycling connection from the east to the city.

Navigation Tips
A more direct cycling route towards the city exists at [5:10 / 7:01] Paya Lebar Road by travelling under the MRT viaduct to Kallang MRT station.

Near [4:54 / 6:44] Paya Lebar Quarter, a more appealing alternative cycling route exists along a throughblock link built on top of a canal connecting to Paya Lebar MRT station. However, pedestrian volumes are heavy at all times of the day, so slow down and give way to pedestrians if necessary.

Note that much of the alignment along Sims Avenue PC is very twisty, and a section of it following Sims Avenue near [1:48 / 8:41] Eunos MRT station has multiple pinch points.
