Eastwood holds a long list of acting, directing and producing credits. Such projects include Million Dollar Baby, Invictus, American Sniper, Dirty Harry, Unforgiven, Mystic River, The Good, the Bad & the Ugly, A Fistful of Dollars, Gran Torino, J. Edgar, The Bridges of Madison County... the list of quality work seems endless. Clint Eastwood has had an exciting and unconventional life to say the least, from being drafted into the U.S. Army, to becoming one of Hollywood’s most beloved legends on and off-screen.

He is the winner of four Academy Award and nominated for eleven. Eastwood is one of only two people to have received two nominations for Best Actor and Best Director for the same film. These were Unforgiven and Million Dollar Baby. The other being Warren Beatty for Heaven Can Wait and Reds. Along with Beatty, Robert Redford, Richard Attenborough, Kevin Costner, and Mel Gibson, Clint Eastwood is one of the few directors best known as an actor to win an Academy Award for directing.

On February 27th, 2005, he became one of only three living directors, along with Miloš Forman and Francis Ford Coppola, to have directed two Best Picture winners. At the age of 74, he was the oldest recipient of the Academy Award for Best Director to date. But while Eastwood certainly appears to be a success story on the outside, he's had to endure a number of hardships in his life. One example being that Eastwood struggled to make his way in Hollywood, which led to him suffering with mental health issues.

He began to experience severe anxiety on set when he first started acting. This led to him struggling with his dialogue and trying to be confident. Clint Eastwood has even opened up about a time when a director verbally put him down for messing up the lines. Not only that, but he’s been at the forefront of several controversies including the reputation of having countless affairs over the years.
