The Doug/Arthur storylines tend to be the best in this show

Brilliant. The writers beautifully integrate a tongue in cheek easter egg to little known German theoretical physicist Albert Einstein, and demonstrate their fundamental grasp of his theory of special relativity: in an inertial frame of reference, our laws of physics are invariant, ergo, in Doug's frame of reference, the dishes are dirty, but in Arthur's frame of reference, said dishes are clean, yet regardless of both of their observations, these dishes are identical in both reference frames for Doug has not applied acceleration (detergent) to our physical system (dishes). Forgive my French here but this is indubitably wunderbar.
