That first story with the woman with dementia. I've been working overnight shift in group homes for 25 years now. The knives are ALWAYS kept locked up. I know this was a private residence, but having knives accessible to an elderly dementia patient is a precaution carelessly overlooked by the daughter

The first story just pissed me off more than scared me. Pissed off the daughter is clearly in denial about how advanced her mothers situation is, pissed off the aid clearly isn’t as experienced with dementia as they think, and pissed off anyone with dementia (violent tendencies or not) could access any knives 🙄🙄🙄

As a small child, stories like the one about the dementia patient were the reality of my every day life because I was raised by my undiagnosed schizophrenic mother. She was only admitted after attempting to attack me in my sleep when I was 11.

The third story about T.C is the scariest for me, but I’m glad that he was with another trainee and his manager to go with him to see how pizza deliveries are carried out. But then when the manager walked in the sacrifice of the baby deer that genuinely freaked me out

As someone who has worked with seniors in varying stages of dementia for 15 years now, if Martha is the scariest thing to ever happen to you, then you've gotten off easy. 😂 I gotta ask why knives were even left where she could get them though. Putting away/locking up anything that could be poisonous or used as a weapon is like rule #1. 🤔
