After attempting this challenge for every Batman Arkham game, I've put together a compilation of all my runs to answer the question, can you beat the entire Batman Arkham Series without takedowns?

Takedowns are crucial in all aspects of gameplay in the Batman Arkham Series. The ability to take out a lot of enemies quickly with nothing but a push of a button is something I've always underestimated until this challenge. Without these attacks in my arsenal, Arkham Asylum, Arkham City, Arkham Origins, and Arkham Knight are sure to be extremely difficult, if not impossible...

After seeing other youtubers try these gaming challenges like can you beat Batman Arkham without taking damage, without gliding, without grappling, and without punching and countering, I decided to give these Arkham challenges a go myself. I attempted this no takedowns challenge with the entire Batman Arkham series, and with this compilation we can finally find out if you can beat the Batman Arkham series without using takedowns.

When i was a kid, and first played these games i actually never figured out about takedowns, the combo takedowns, or the ground takedowns, so i literally just wailed on enemies and patiently waited for them to get back up before taking them out. After discovering how braindead i was, the combat has never seemed better.

Did you know that in Arkham Knight, you can pick enemies up after they fall down to the ground to start a beat down combo which means that you don’t have to use your fists while they’re on the ground? It’s RT + B

Something I accidentally found during the Mr. Freeze fight was that you can actually still drop attack from a frozen rail as long as you time it perfectly and he's in the exact right position, coming in or out from a door. It won't give you the prompt, you'll just fall on top of him and it'll count. So if you're good at manipulating his path, that was another option.

You're a genius for coming up with that Mr Freeze strat. You *can* pull enemies off ledges with the Batclaw in Arkham Knight, but only if there's no barrier in the way. I did it in The Long Halloween, Part 2. You can get a *fourth* zap with the drone by disrupting the controller tablet, which is enough to almost completely clear some maps in one fell swoop

I love the 4:3 aspect ratio you have for Arkham Aslyum, gives it a more classic horror game feel, I'm def gonna play it in that format once I get new gen remaster

idk why but just being able to just beat the shit out of a downed thug in Arkham Knight was like the best improvement in combat. it's just so funny seeing you be so brutal to them.

Hey did you know you can entirely skip the fight at 54:27 You can just immediately Open the door as the enemies dont see you in that area for some reason

Personally, I never silent take down the guys wall saving Commissioner Gordon. I always worry that they’re going to see one of their knocked out buddies and alert Harley.
