Simulation of mixing ventilation in a typical 6-abreast single aisle passenger aircraft cabin. Two rotors form in the cabin cross section, one on either side of the aisle. For this reason, the expiratory droplets are first confined to one side of the aisle. Eventually, they spread also to the other side of the aisle as well as forward and aft. At the end of the short simulation the droplets are already distributed over 5 rows.
