Short explanation for Sandalphon's setting: the angels are some of the original Primal Beasts, made by Lucilius himself, the astral who first invented the very concept of Primal Beasts and was the best mind the astrals ever had. Among these angels, there were primarchs, more powerful and important than typical angels, and their commander was the Supreme Primarch, Lucifer. Lucilius' greatest creation, and arguably the strongest of Primal Beasts. Sandalphon is the one who succeeds Lucifer, made to be a backup for his role, and inherits Lucifer's powers after Lucifer dies due to plot reasons.

So in short, he's close to the very top of what a Primal Beast can be. There are some more esoteric and dangerous Primals, but in sheer might, nothing else rivals him. Lucifer himself was basically the Jesus equivalent of the setting. A good boy, born 2000 years ago, who watched over the world, loved humanity, could casually call and chat with the God of the world Bahamut himself, and eventually died protecting others. Sandalphon had to succeed and fill in his shoes. Not quite Lucifer level yet, but he tries his best.

I really want them to make the story mode co-op on first play. It makes the first playthrough so much more memorable

What i think is gonna happen is the game getting a pause in the monthly updates for idk, about a year and then they release a big Expansion as a DLC like Iceborne

Or at least that's what i want to happen lol. Having a pause or not in the updates, i think a DLC for this game in Iceborne level would be exactly what everyone needs. They could just put the original lore of Granblue in the game for you to play as a sort of NG+ (because it happens before Relink in the game timeline), having Phantagrande, Nalhegrande or even Oarlyegrande Skydoms would be AMAZING, seriously just search images of the island there, the design is incredible. They could actually add any of the other Skydoms that never got shown like Amahtgrande, Ecksegrande, Kahlesgrande or Wahnungrande, these are stated in the wiki but we never got to see them.

I know they made Relink as a entire new game for this specific Skydom and part of the story but i don't care, i want the rest of Granblue Fantasy World in this game too and i would easily pay more for it

They need to do it similarly to Monster Hunter World. Keep making small updates then one big expansion. Monster Hunter saga did not become what it is today overnight. Cygames has something special here which has the potential to finally be competition for MH.

Have their marketing team figure out how much they can commit to a big DLC and use the money from those sales to make Relink 2. There are quite a few things which can be improved.

Just got to the Proud Quests earlier today. So I'm trying to get as much as done as I can before Sandalphon drops.

Sandalphon is one of my favorite characters and has a great character development and redemption archs in my opinion.

I'm excited for his release!

To add on to some of his lore, Sandalphon wasn't an ally in his first appearance. In the What Makes The Sky Blue I event, Sandalphon broke out of Pandemonium, basically a prison where they sealed all the 'bad' primals. When he got out, he decided that he wanted revenge on Lucifer (the supreme primarch) by wrecking havoc in the sky realm. So he started his hunt for the primarchs of the tetra elements (fire/water/earth/wind) who were Michael, Gabriel, Uriel and Raphael. Then a shortened version is, basically we beat the crap out of him and then Lucifer sealed him into an egg. I'm skipping on alot of details there, yep. And then in the follow up event, WMTSB II, some bad dudes wanted to resurrect Lucilius, but since he was only a decapitated head, Lucifer got decapitated and then they stuck Lucilius' head onto Lucifer's body. Which is why when you fight Lucilius in relink, you can see the scar on his neck where they stuck it on. And also why during the fight, Sandalphon has dialogue regarding Lucilius desecrating Lucifer's body when he powers up and changes phases.

I really want them continue updating the game at least. I know there are certain characters that fans are still unsatisfied with. Plus, we always have a sequel to look forward to now that Cygames have this formula adapted.

I think we are def going to get more in the future, just not for a little while. I feel like there is a lot more to explore with Zegagrande as a skydom. Besides, even just the demand for Maglielle to be playable is huge. So hoping we at least get more characters and missions in the future, and maybe a story dealing with remnants of Lilith loyalists.

sandalphon is THE Edgelord of the game just to add to what Iohto3 said. all i care is being able to use paradise lost with sandy and more than 2 quests we already know 1 of the new quests will be a new luci quest lv 250 and (this here is me assuming the others have to be sigil material quests for the new sigils) im hoping PRAYING we get new better weapons for everyone its the whole reason everyone was farming proto bahamut so much because there was something to do in the game and not just clear it once and your done and real skins not recolors

The issue is, playing on one character I leveled up all the others.
Game does not force me to play a certain character in order to unlock something specifically for him (experience, mastery points, weapons, etc.).

THEIR FIGHTING GAME HAS SO SO SO MANY COOL CHARACTERS!!!
Even if they NEEEED to sell them, PLEASE do it via expansion. Basically sell the expansion, add more content, and have more unlockable characters.
BUT I WANT MORE SO BADLY! I dont think we will ever get it though. Im not sure how popular this game is in japan.
But i CANNOT stress enough how many cool characters are in the fighting game that we dont have… we dont even have some of the coolest lookin guys imo

I also just started this game a week ago and I'm obsessed. I know I'm nowhere near the end of content but, I'd love to see the devs keep adding to this game.
