You need to really listen. Don't be a person who's thinking about the next question they're gonna ask after they've asked one while your customer or prospect is speaking. They can tell you're not listening to them. And if you're not listening to them there will be no trust. With no trust, there is no buy. Good video, Patrick.

Trying to get into sales at 18. This was great advice! I haven’t been able to get a sale, definitely gonna try your advice tomorrow at work.

This sounds like SPIN selling. Situation, Pain, Implication, Need-payoff. That's a whole method of selling and it's for high ticket items or a professional service.

Hi Patrick, I've been following you for a while now and I'm new to B2B sales.
I have a meeting with a big customer in a month and I'm only in this company for less than a month now. Your videos have been giving me more knowledge and I actually gain more confidence. I live in Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam, if you're here drop me a message and I'll get you a coffee ;)

This is great Patrick. Unfortunately, I got laid off from my tech sales job last summer and want to pivot to Customer Success but no luck so far.

What about selling for a one-off service based business? Such as auto glass.

A lot of sales advice is more leaning towards subscription type services such as marketing, like in the example you gave here.

im a makeup artist that often does phone consultations with bride to be's. What do i say if bride is just looking for a MUA as your video focus's on asking questions so client sees that they have a problem that you got a solution for. How would it make sense for my situation? Thank you, .

Why should any good, stable, intelligent person want to enter a field where you need to know "dark psychological secrets" in order to be competent. If you must be manipulative to succeed at something, then there is a problem with that thing.

I appreciate your the effort you put into making the video, but your first point is invalid because as a sale person who’s trying to bag a client, you’re the one doing the talking why your potential client is doing the listening…
