DynaSample XPression - Audio-Input-Rotator Testing

The DynaSample XPression sound module plays great with the Akai EWI, EWI4000s, EWI5000, EWI-USB, the Yamaha WX5, WX7, WX11, the Softwind Synthophone, the MDT as well as any other wind controller, keyboard (MIDI or USB) with or without breath control and almost all other MIDI controllers.

This is a short improvisation to test the new audio input rotator synth (Michael Brecker style) of XPression (played by Ingo Scherzinger).

Technically it works like this:

A neck microphone picks up pitch and volume from the saxophone without any ambient interference. The pitch then gets translated into a 3 voice Brecker style rotator.

Pressing a foot switch holds the last chord and turns up the sax which is being picked up with a regular mic and fed into the line input of XPression.
Releasing the foot switch turns down the sax and sends the contact mic to the synth again.

Let me tell you: it's a lot of fun to play that stuff!
