I have the Hornby Lion, Liverpool and Manchester Railway #57. A fabulous model and highly recommended. Quite the tractive effort as well. Lion pulled 13 Hornby LMR wagons and coaches on my poorly executed track, and could likely have pulled many more, but I simply ran out of rolling stock!

Hi,

At 1:25 the flying Scotsman model shown appears to be the high detail tooling for the 1924 exhibition model, with the crest on the side of the cab and coal rails on the tender.

However when checking your website for set R1225M the model included appears to be the basic railroad tooling so the video is misleading.

we are getting out our Davy Crockett wild west steam loco and the three coaches that go with it, Triang Railways go west, , as children in 1963 we loved it.well done to the Margate factory

I love how the "Flying Scotsman" is always referred to as the "most famours locomotive in the World", but outside the UK, many have never heard of it.

I'm new to train sets, got my first one today, can't wait to set it up with the kids!

Sadly no hornby products for my son this year. We were going to expand his rambler layout with track and scenery but we've been priced out ( I'm on a low income), even s/h has got ridiculous.
We would like to see a set for kids which is not battery powered but is intermediate for them to continue the hobby utilising the small sets e.g.rambler and smoky joe and expanding them and combining them to build bigger, ( I know about track packs and that), but at this rate my son will lose faith and give up if prices keep soaring and only retired folk keep the company
Just a shame really the kids are the future and they get forgotten about.

Cannot beat the excellent Hornby DUBLO 2 and 3 rail models made in ENGLAND. Great quality and reliable too, especially the lovely heavy cast metal engines and diesels. Better than COVIDland stuff ?
