I got into a relationship with a Narcissist. That was painful. But I got out of it and today I’m grateful. Bc I experienced what a false self is and I had a spiritual awakening

Jokes aside, Eckhart is one of the best stand-up(or sit-down, in his case) comedians out there!😊

Thanks for everything, I have no complaints whatsoever.

The ancient stoics practiced "amor fati", which is accept your fate. They also said to never complain outloud or to yourself. Peace and love to everyone from the Olympic Peninsula in Washington State ♥️🙏🇺🇲

He is not an ordinary human being. He is the modern world, Saint by all means. Listen carefully.

see so many people finding their identity through victimhood the last few years, seems like its an increasing way of people being. i hope they find another way - they are putting themselves in so much suffering. i am so grateful not to be burdened by complex religious or cultural doctrines, love being a woman growing up in Australia - free to live in the moment exactly as I am - incredibly graetful for the luck i had being born here and to the beautiful family i have that never forced or pressured me to follow or believe any particular rituals or ancestral things - just free to explore life as who i am

But it feels so good when to do what would satisfy the ego doesn't feel satisfying anymore. It's such a relief!

Tolle is on fire in this talk: full of energy and quickness and humor and WISDOM! Thank you sincerely for this practical, spiritual message. And one that is needed by this ego.

Eckhart, you are a great teacher.

Thanks for everything. I have no complaint whatsoever. I will practice. 🌺

This man is a legend, I watched this with eyes wide open. That rarely happens, but this hit close to home.

I thought myself to be waging a just war against my ego, with mixed results. I completely failed to see that my near constant complaining in times of stress has been literally undoing all of my efforts, keeping me trapped in endless cycles of nonsense and self-defeating mental dialog. I have wasted so much time BUT not anymore. I know where I really need to work now.

When you're in a perpetual state of unhappiness, it's hard to break away. Mindfulness has been a huge help. The mindfulness book 30 Days to Reduce Depression by Harper Daniels helped me. It's important to remember that we are not our conditioning.

I really enjoyed this talk. I was just chatting with my friend (who is 35 & single and wants to be married) & I am married hoping and praying for a baby.

She told me that she feels as though everyone is leaving her behind, I felt this way too before I got married, & now in my longing for a family I have noticed that we are constantly moving the needle for happiness. I have found myself pleading with God for just this one more thing & then I’ll be happy but I think we all know that is a lie.

I think that’s why Paul says in Philippians “Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.”

We always say “I’ll be happy when___”

If we don’t learn contentment whether being well fed or hungry we will never find true joy.

(love his analogy of rain in London vs sunshine in Hawaii)

I am looking forward to the day that I look out the window & feel that “isness”

For now I will enjoy the journey to get there ♥️

Holding all of your hands who are HERE. I always wish I could be frennns the people who watch these videos 😭😂🤦🏾‍♀️🤩
