Pinky is unfortunately little known bur wonderful singer who knows how to tell the story.
Husband Lou Levy is one of the best accompanists in business and Monty Budwig is one of the best West Coast bassist. No wonder they sound great together!

They used to play a lot at Alfonse’s in Toluca Lake in the 80’s. Lou and Monty would back a lot of people (like Al Cohn) and Pinky was a regular on the schedule. This was way, way before you had access to a library on your cell phone. I had no idea at the time that Lou had played for Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee and all those albums with Stan Getz. Or the recordings that Monty did with Vince Guaraldi. I just knew that the music was really great!
