If the auto cannon or spear ever got nerfed it’s literally over I will call Sony and arrowhead and wait on the line till I get a hold of somebody then say sorry wrong number and hang up because I’m socially awkward

6:10 The commando can actually 2 shot a factory strider if you get under it and aim for one of the doors. Killing it via the eye should be possible as well
Edit: post patch 01.001.100 this is no longer the case

For weapons that allow another person to reload, if you have a teammate that actually helps you and reloads you, many of these awkward shoulder mounted weapons become BRUTALLY effective against heavy targets. The Recoiless Rifle is the most standout example of this. If you have help reloading, you can obliterate bugs and bots in droves.

A couple friends and I went full death-ball and we had a conga line of... 1 Recoiless, with the Rover backpack, 1 quasar with Recoiless ammo backpack, 1 quasar with the resupply pack, and 1 grenade Machine Gunner with a resupply pack. It was hilariously fun raining constant missiles at the enemy

The problem with Helldivers 2 is that they are trying to make S tier weapons B tier instead of making D C tier A tier

Laser cannon is actually pretty good vs bugs, it can melt mid armor in 2 second and also can destroy shreiker nest and the spore spewer. At least a B+ imo.

I unironically love the MG-43. It does a really good job at killing everything but the strongest units. I used it for a couple of weeks recently and I actually had a hard time switching to a different support weapon. The medium anti armor capability and ammo capacity was really tough to give up. I think at least one person in a squad should run the 43 with a supply pack. It’s genuinely goated

This was certainly an S-tier video! I had no idea the commando could do so much, even with 360 hours in! Thank you for providing specific rocket counts for certain heavy units, helped out a bunch!

Railgun, supply pack, scorcher, stun nades and grenade pistol is my go to for bots. railgun is amazing for any ground troop except factory striders, which you can deal with using stratagems, and for gunships (which the railgun is not great at damaging) use the scorcher. I feel like precision and power per shot is important, which the commando has, but the low ammo capacity of the commando make me wish for something else, for if i kill a hulk and a tank and im already out of ammo, i feel like it's not necessarily an s tier weapon.

2:50 The AMR is infact able to kill tanks and striders. For the tanks, you want to shoot their cooling vent on the back and the striders can be killed by shooting the bottom, where the devastators are dropped

I think Laser cannon is an S tier against bots, every heavy threat they have can be killed by the laser cannon, the only one that is a slight issues is the tank, but then you can just disable its tracks. its a better HMG, no recoil and infinite ammo, easy S tier

I think the one I disagree the most with is the Arc Thrower. It's not worse than the Blitzer, it's way stronger. You're basically trading burst damage + quick knockback for consistent knockback and AOE damage. You use blitzer to make space when you can't afford the charge time, and then you rapid fire through hordes of enemies and you destroy anything that isn't a charger or bile titan.

I then also run it with with some heavy killing stratagems similarly to how you'd play stalwart to keep it up.

I'd say arc thrower on bugs is more high B tier to low A tier rather than C.

The HMG can actually kill factory striders really fast, possibly even faster than the autocannon if you shoot the "belly" of the strider... hard to get to but if its aggro is on a teammate you can sneak below it, and you can also destroy the machine guns of the strider to make this much easier

I think what a lot of people miss about the ark thrower is that it has no dependencies AT ALL. Backpacks? Run whatever you need. Recoil? Forgot about it! Run armor that gives you good survival skills like med kit or padded. And in my opinion, it’s crowd control for anything smaller than a charger is second to none, since it can one shot, arks between enemies, and it stuns them long enough to keep landing shots without them moving an inch. No ammo is also a plus on higher difficulties, letting you save ammo for your team, or just surviving longer, cause calling in supplies can be a nightmare sometimes. My go to cheese load out will always be ark, laser drone, and a 500 kg and precision strike for anything charger or larger. I will consistently get the most kills and the least deaths, for minimal effort. Staying alive is the name of the game, and I hope to god the devs don’t “balance” it.
