WATCH: Lifelong Republicans speak out against Trump | 2020 DNC Night 1

Lifelong republicans including former New Jersey Gov. Christine Todd Whitman spoke out against Donald Trump’s leadership during the first night of the Democratic National Convention. “This isn’t about Republican or Democrat, it’s about a person, a person who can work with everyone … to get things done,” Whitman said. “Donald Trump isn’t that person, Joe Biden is.” The coronavirus pandemic upended both parties’ traditional conventions. Instead of in-person events, the program each night features a number of speakers and musical performances virtually across the country.
