These scenes must be from the Enterprise final deployment before decommisioning. The crew is showing their determination to uphold the highest level of performance until the last minute.

Yes you are correct, the LSO's are at the back of the ship telling the pilots about to land to make flight corrections or abort landing and come around for another attempt at landing. LSO's are pilots who are not flying at that time.

What a rush.

One of my coolest days was when a Falcon 10's landing gear lights didn't come on. They did a low flyover for visual confirmation. That had NOTHING on this.

I'm new at the curiosity of snapping cables and the birds. I favor to the air force boys and was trained to ground unit, and studied the com post until snap benefits was to feed the DSS & USS seems to make for some row boating & pants people who know how to hulk style manage anger.

In case the pilot is completely off of his glideslope, he hits the trigger on that thing and it sends a wave-off signal to the pilot to come around and try again.

I sure as hell couldn't. I would be turning back to look at every plane that took off.

I would love to try and get hold of the pilot and 2 door gunners that came to airlift me from Shaibah log bas to basrah airfield back in 2007. Our merlin flight had been grounded and i needed to get to Basrah airfield to catch a cas comp flight back hom to the u.k. if it wasnt for that helo from USS Enterprise, i wouldnt have made that flight, so, if anyone knows of those guys that helped me that day, give them a massive thank you on my behalf. 👍👍👍👍👍👍

Loved it when there were so many different planes on the flight deck...now everything is a bug...shocked they don't slap rotors on it or a dome to replace the E2.
