Remember not only not to forget, but to act so that it never happens again. We are the keepers of one another. Indifference is the neglect of human rights, and apathy is the abuse of human persons. Silence is complicity that helps the oppressor rather than the oppressed. Love for others is not merely a feeling, but a courageous lifestyle in which we rescue the victimized, act in opposition to the victimizers, and preserve the dignity of the human spirit to care for one another -- come what may.
