Brooke & Jubal effectively ruined whatever chance this surprise had of sweeping the guy off his feet. Granted, it might have been too early—but honestly, a grand gesture like that, if it comes from the right person and everything lines up perfectly, has the chance (however tiny it is) to be perceived well. But they had to out her before she was ready and essentially made it impossible for her surprise to not be perceived as creepy.

Not saying I would have done what she did, but we all have had great thoughts/ideas in our heads that we couldn't communicate the way we wanted to, and it comes across as a flop even when we know it isn't.

Brooke & Jubal were wrong for this.
