I recalled that interview with Cook where he had stated, in an analogy, " in China, they can fill several stadium of required talents while, in the US, they would have difficulties filling a room."
And those people in the stadium work 2x harder, 1.5x longer.

*Boston did develop earlier. Their earliest robot dog used a diesel engine + hydraulic transmission system, while Unitree used electric drive. Unitree's electric drive mode subverted Boston's hydraulic drive.*
*Boston's hydraulic drive was slow to respond, heavy, and unable to be precisely controlled. Now Boston has given up the hydraulic route and followed Unitree's lead in switching to the electric drive route.*

Without this comparison, I would still have thought Boston’s the best. But the comparison shows the differences between the two are so big.

the developing time for Boston's has been long and mature. Unitree's on the other hand has just started with tremendous potential. Give it another year or two, it will be miles ahead of the Boston one in my opinion

BD develops only with future military utilization in mind. Unitree also develops for disabled and elderly mobility, as well as possible military use. Unitree gets my vote

many unitree models are production ready or in production, on the other hand, BD robots are more of a wow demo than real product.
