In which we discuss 1948's Rope, from acclaimed director Alfred Hitchcock. A master of cerebral visuals and storytelling, this is the story of two young men who murder a third and celebrate by having a party with his friends and family and body. What fun!

If you didn't see the list of films, they are posted over on my bluesky, and I'm choosing which I watch via Marbles on Stream.

I believe James Stewart was miscast as the professor. It should have been Clifton Webb or George Sanders. They had the requisite evil and sophistication that this role truly needed. Otherwise it is a very good Hitchcock suspense.
