Straight PAIGE (Gillian Jacobs) and lesbian SASHA (Leighton Meester) are codependent best friends in their late 20s who have spent the last ten years acting more like wives than friends. They talk to each other on the toilet. They drive each other to the doctor. And as with any good marriage, they’re a perfect yin and yang: Paige is a type-A environmental lawyer and fount of advice and moral support, while Sasha is an impulsive musician immersed in the hedonism of her local gay scene. Paige and Sasha encourage one another to meet romantic partners, but as part of a generation that is encouraged not to settle like their parents did, they’re pretty content with each other as de facto spouses.

Just watched this on Amazon Prime Video almost half a day ago. Nothing earth-shattering, but a cute little film. Leighton and Gillian should team up more often.

really nice performances from both Leighton Meester and Gillian Jacobs two best friends do everything together up to the point where they're reaching their thirties when one of them meets someone and is about to tie the knot emotions run a little rampant and it looks like their friendship is in danger of disappearing the film presents a familiar dilemma we all know yet the acting from both girls is soothing given the sudden change that's going on they are partners for life; friends forever Adam Brody serves a good dash of goofyness whenever needed, too the friendship between the two is adorable and you feel their own separate directions

Loved this film, I first watched it in 9th grade during a time when I first felt comfortable being gay I still wouldn't tell anyone but watching this made me excited for a life when I could be comfortable in the gay community as an adult and I can confirm now as a 23 year old this is a pretty accurate representation
