Floods caused by heavy rain have devastated homes and establishments in many parts of Sudan in the last week.
Over 50 people have been killed and 25 injured, and more than 136,000 have been displaced according to a census from mid August, the United Nations said in a statement.
The number of people and areas affected has doubled this year compared to the year before, the statement added.
Citizens at Gezira state were moved to schools and makeshift shelters after their houses were destroyed amid difficult conditions.
