Thank you, just ordered a 1973 Eleanor Roosevelt vintage bar. Then I found your video thanks I did learn more of what I didn't know. Ultimately I was just looking for a silver coin that represented Eleanor Roosevelt and found the bar for the low and only one the other two were being bidded on. I didn't know about vintage silver bars until I found her bar then looked on YouTube and couldn't find anything on the bar but found your video. Thanks. It is from American Silver Editions. 4, 000 minted only. No telling how many exist. I just watched First Lady's of the White House and wanted a coin to commerate her now I have a 1973 vintage bar

before TV, formal dining was the rage and having real silver silverware was a way to invest and "put on the ritz" for your friends. but by 80's formal dining was replaced with steakhouses and pizza parlors and boatloads of silverware fell victim to the great silver melt. I like that S&A round with the brickwork border.

I Only buy constitutional and ASE, also other national mint coins if the premiums are low. No more bars or rounds, I believe that it's a very rare occurrence to resell any of the rounds or art bars for more than melt. But I get the appeal to others, it is beautiful and collectable.

Bore? Quite the contrary. Vintage bars and rounds are currently my biggest collecting goal. And it's fun to find them for sale at bullion dealers for close to spot.
