AI voice simulation is ALSO terrifying from a financial perspective because more and more banks are using your voice to verify your identity when a person calls in for bank services. When my first bank said that to me over the automated system I was extremely uncomfortable with the idea (and this was pre-chat GPT). We’re screwed yall!

This happened to me. It was so scary. The person that called me was my “cousin”. She was crying hysterically screaming that she needed help. ( it didn’t sound quite like her) During the time, I did have a cousin from out of the country, so for a second I thought it was her. I hung up and called my cousin and she answered perfectly fine. I told her what happened and let family members know what happened as well so they wouldn’t be fooled.
