Elantra SHOULD have been in place of the focus. It looks great, drives good, and comes with more features when compared to a focus of the same price. Yes, I own a 2012 Elantra, but I have driven the new Focus, and it couldn't compare. I do like the new look for the focus, but the elantra's lines are amazing. Fuel wins there too.

@yummy1234098 I agree 100% with what ur saying about the Focus not having leg room compared to the Elantra&the Elantras back space is almost as Big as the Sonatas backseating space just alittle smaller. The Focus has no leg room if the people in the front R taller&pull the seating back.Trunk space for both the Hatchback&Sedan in the Focus is alot less than the Elantra.Thats1of the reasons I bought the Elantra. The only thing Focus does better is the performance of the car.

@yummy1234098 Actually, the Focus and the Elantra have exactly the same rear leg room and the Elantra only has one more cubic feet of cargo volume and to add to that, I wouldn't buy either one to be a family car. No one is really going to ride back there anyway. If you are looking for a car that can haul people, get an Accord, Sonata, or Passat. That being said, if you are not looking to haul people, you better get something. That could be: interior quality or the perfect ride to handling ratio.

@NattDogg01 well i dont know where you are getting your specs from because i have sat in the focus and the elantra and i could not put my feet and legs straight in the focus but in the elantra i had room to spare. the elantra is classified as a midsize car by the EPA the focus...is not

This just shows Toyota needs to step up his game.

@yummy1234098 I got both the specs from each of the manufacturers' website.

@yummy1234098 But the Focus is a better all around car. The one that they are talking about here is the manual Focus, and in this spec, is a better car. Better ride, better handling, better chassis, and overall better interior quality. The Elantra has a lot of hard plastics on the dash and some really cheap touches everywhere, that is why it is cheaper than the Focus. You get what you pay for. The Focus is a 10 Best because it excels in almost everything it is supposed to do.

@yummy1234098 The Focus has both, the Elantra and neither one.

Focus? I think not. As Ford says "Drive one" I did and bought an Impreza

Toyota is becoming complacent like GM did, until recently. It better try to stay ahead as everyone wants that #1 spot

@NattDogg01 why would i buy a focus? its not worth it. it too cramped. ford doesnt take everything into account when it comes to selling a car. yes yo uneed quality but you also need size and space wich is something the focus is lacking greatly in and the elantra is packed with. and that is why i see a ton of elantras and a few focuses on the street. the elantra looks cool and has space the focus looks 'ok' and might have some soft touch materials, but on top of the dash where no one touches...

@nstrikefromnerfhaven It's Bimmer when you're referring to BMW cars and Beamer for motorcycles, kid.

@SirDrSuperKittens WTF? The most dangerous cars? I hope you're not referring to the car that costs $3000 if so, no shit its dangerous, lol. Tata is run by successful business men who know what they are doing. Jaguar and Land Rover are putting out good things these days.

@yummy1234098 Do you even own a Focus? You probably have never even driven one. The Focus with the manual gearbox is a great car for the money. A fully loaded manual is only a little over $20, 000. Which is great money for a car that excels in handling and ride quality. Stick with your Elantra or Sonata, whatever you drive. And by the way, I don't own a Smart ForTwo. I am very interested them, but I don't own one. I have a Chevrolet Camaro and I would never buy a Focus anyway. It is just good car

The A7 is great until you realize that it is an A6 that costs $10, 000 more and has a completely useless backseat. A loaded up A7 costs the same as a base Jaguar XJ that has all the same stuff, better backseat and a V8.

@NattDogg01 and since when is a focus something somebody strives for? its just that, basic transportation
