I remember my sister's husband bought a VCR for I think it was $1, 000. --
He was so proud of it.
Before the VCR's if you wanted to watch a certain movie you HAD to leave your house and go to a movie theather or a Drive Inn.
Park your car under the stars & put a metal speaker in your window and watch a huge screen.
Heck-- When I was eight yrs old living on a mountain in Up State New York we had wooden phones on the wall with the handle you had to turn to ring a person at a tell phone board that would use a plug that contected you to the person you were calling.
Now we have phone's we can carry in our pockets that are cameras and have a powerful computer.
My town in Upstate New York was so small at the time the Fire Dept in the back room we sat on wooden benches to watch movies.
For those laughing at the above-- go for it-- but with time & if you live long enough things keep changing & if we have no crazy nuke wars -- they'll be a time you'll look back and talk about 2025 -- and it will seen like the dark ages to the younger generations like my story above
