Guacamelee 2 - All Key Part Locations & Chicken Illuminati Crucible

Guacamelee 2 has 5 key part locations, required to open the golden door in the chicken illuminati headquarters and to receive the holy hen's message for the good game ending. This video guide shows their locations and how to get them, including the crucible after opening the golden door in chicken illuminati headquarters.

This unlocks 4 trophies:
- One down... (Complete a secret Chicken Key Challenge)
- Very Special (Open the Golden Door)
- Talk to the Hend (Receive the Holy Hen's message)
- Legend of the Timelines (Reach the good ending, collect all keys)

There are a few steps to it:

1) Get the 5 Key Pieces. They are hard platforming sections and require endgame abilities. It's best to do them after the story in free-roam, after having collected lots of health & stamina chests and having unlocked the self-healing ability + all chicken powers from dungeons. The platforming sections for the keys are very hard and will take a lot of trial and error.

2) After getting all 5 key pieces, return to the Chicken Illuminati Headquarters in 'Prison El Corazon'.

3) Use the key to open the door there.

4) Now you must finish a series of chicken platforming areas.
At the end you are granted the message which is needed for the good ending.

5) Defeat the endboss Salvador in Templo de la Serpiente.

Luckily, it's not missable because you can replay the endboss as often as you want. After finishing the story, it creates a checkpoint before the final boss so you can keep playing / cleaning up collectibles, find the key parts etc.
When you have everything you can replay the endboss once more to pop the trophy.

Unlike the other challenges, the Crucible just isn't fun at all. Instead of getting better at each attempt until you master the course, it feels more like you're just trying the same thing over and over until you get lucky enough to dodge whatever obstacles there are. That's not to say you can't get better, but the gap between skill and luck is so small that it just doesn't accomplish what the other challenges accomplished. At least, with the other challenges, I always felt I could eventually get good enough to beat them. The crucible? I'm just thinking, "welp, I hope I get lucky enough to get through this" or "wow, I feel like I only got through this due to being lucky."

I was so happy when I got the last key.
I was enraged when I saw I had to do MORE challenges before unlucking the power up.
And that the fist one was a flappy bird type of challenge.

Its hard, but feels really rewarding accomplishing it. Also, infinite pollo shot really helps in the last part of the game.

20.34 one of the toughest levels in the whole game. This level broke me and nearly drove me insane. It took me forever to finish it. The developer must have been high while making this level.

If you have the DLC characters, Uay Pek is great for the gauntlet since, except for one enemy, you can stay in the Dead World and regain health on hit. I used Jaguar for the battle against his three clones since he does more damage after a dodge. Also save up some money and have skills ready to learn during all this because you get a full health and stamina recharge whenever you learn a new skill.

Oh man, this dungeon broke me! Playing and hard didn’t help either, but at a certain point you just do it after countless tries. On my way to do the good ending and do the Plat! Never felt so relieved :))

Crucible part took me a whole hour, but I at least did it, helpful tip at 23:41, you can be on the very edge of the air things and you can hover endlessly and you won’t hit the red things, helped me out a lot

The air control part (first part of the crucible) is the hardest for me, the rest are pretty easy in comparison.

I actually managed to do it all (including the crucible!) in HARD mode, i almost went crazy trying all this. It's stupidly hard. Anyhow, so close to 100% Guacamelee 2! Just missing 100%ing all areas, proving ground challenges and some achievements.

Hah.. I was actually pretty glad to hear there was more challenges in the crucible, since I had so much fun with the others, only to walk into the FIRST ROOM to find a floaty, loose, and overall terrible version of flappy bird(with ceilings, to make it worse!),

I tried for 20 or 30 minutes to get past, but no success. Looked it up on YouTube, turns out I'm doing it right but just no luck.

Terribly sad, guac 1 was the first game I'd 100%ed but I'm not so sure it's worth the trouble this time around. I hope I'll get enough luck tho.
