Every Tears of the Kingdom Town RANKED by yours truly. I didn't have enough time to do a full tier list so enjoy this Gas or Trash. (Mid is an option too)

Lurelin getting destroyed in TotK hurt my soul so much because it was my favorite town in BotW. Getting to rebuild it felt so nice

The fact that we couldn't rebuild castle town is such a miss

Hateno village has so many unique places and things now, that it needs to share with the other villages

“ I don’t like the mushroom decorations.” Have a hylian shroom

Would the Yiga Hideout technically count as a “town?” There’s shops and people live there.

Something about Kakariko Village makes me happy, i love how close, and layered everything is, and how it’s guarded by mountains. I love everything abt it, I wanna live in a village like that in real life😭

Unpopular opinion but I don't really like Zora's Domain when you get up close. It feels less and less like a real place where people live when you see the lack of chairs, housing, etc. I know they all sleep in weird little ponds, but regardless the lack of personal homes like other towns brings it down for me.

Zora's Domain is an easy 100/10 cause best girl Mipha lived there, maybe 99/10 cause they moved her statue

Ah, yes, the classic cataclysms: blizzard, sandstorm, rockaholism, and doodoo water.

The two locations i frequent the most, Tarrey Town and Gerudo Town. Tarrey for obvious reasons and because Gerudo Town has everything you'd expect of a town, even down to having a Prison and a Bar. The lady who was throwing bottles under the town found a liking for me and cooks rather decent food every day. Its funny though... Gerudo Desert itself is my least favorite area in the game.

Love how the majority are Gas because of how amazing this game's world feels and looks

I scrolled on this right as it was posted.

I would love to live in Rito Village. Just a small, cozy little village up on a natural spire... reminds me of the countryside! Might wanna fix that bridge someday tho.

Man, i considered Hateno a home in BOTW, loved the concept of it. A normal town, in a world full of eccentric ones. But after they've put on the mushroom theme, it became my most hated town. Mostly because mushrooms gross me out since i learned about the cordyceps as a kid.
Back in BOTW, i spent most of my time there, pretending i had a routine as a villager. Now, in TOTK ocasionally crash out there, to buy a replacement Hylian Shield, or dye clothes.

the first thing i did after landing off the GSI was to beeline for Tarry Town and see what had become of it.
it was so amazing to see how far it had expanded

When I first played BOTW, entering Kakariko Village for the first time just took my breath away. The music, the location, the village design, EVERYTHING. Just a quaint little rural Japanese village, so much more fleshed out then previous iterations in the game series.
One of many breathtaking moments of my BOTW playthrough.
I think the ruins slightly ruined the vibe for me in TOTK.
