I live in Azerbaijan. I work as a porter in one of the hospitals in the capital Baku. May Allah Almighty make the work of all porters easy. InshaAllah!

Our porters are fab bunch of guys and ladies and we couldn't do without them. Always there if we need them no matter what time of day or night.

I think portering is one of the best jobs you can get in terms of unskilled work. It's a job where you feel like a productive member of society helping other people. Plus an NHS contract is a brilliant contract to be employed on. Unfortunately the hospital near me has outsourced the job to another company so it is no longer classed as an NHS job and is under the duristiction of a really terrible company to work for, ISS Facilities. I think that they tried to do something similar in one of the Merseyside hospitals but all the staff banded together in protest and it was never followed through. Well done to that hospital👊

I always respected them. But even more so now after spending two weeks in hospital recently. Hospitals just wouldn't function with out them
