Kosui Asian Pear brown skin. It is juicy crunchy and the best flavor out of the Asian Pear varieties i tasted at this backyard. Kosui tree has a is weeping shape which is helpful when picking. August 6, 2018 is still early light green skin is edible. A ripe fruit should be brown skin

Pruned Kosui Asian Pear tree. The difference from an almost ripe kosui has thin skin, edible skin and very sweet and favorful. (best taste if pick at this stage) and a riped fully russet (dark skin) as the size got larger the sweetness was reduced and the skin got thicker. Best if skin was peeled at this stage of ripeness.
