Verstappen Drops HUGE BOMBSHELL on FIA After DRAMATIC Abu Dhabi GP!

■ Max Verstappen has made the 2024 Abu Dhabi finale even more entertaining than what we expected, and with the FIA handing him a 10-second penalty and 2 penalty points to his superlicence, it looks like the Dutchman had a lot to say regarding the behavior of the stewards. Be that as it may, is this ‘feud’ going to continue in 2025 as well and if so – will there be more drivers who can challenge Verstappen and put him in the situation that Piastri did, in which it was the Red Bull driver who made the mistake and got penalized for it?

If you want a solution, just stop broadcasting the radios where the drivers swear. Boom easy, issue solved.

Well, Piastri actually said that Verstappen approached him after the race and apologized for that, end of story.

Drivers cursing is a broadcasting issue not a driver or team issue. Liberty media can do a better job of censoring any language they say. It is ultimately them who decide what gets viewed, not the drivers.

Honestly the Stewards are very inconsistencies

The F1 drivers are running close to 200MPH making decisions on fine tuning while keeping there eyes on the track knowing there surroundings, you cannot tell me you can do that without a single foul word

Add a 5 sec delay on the radios and bleep out the swearing if it's that much of a problem. It's not that difficult.

I gotta hand it to Verstappen, he is a class act behind the wheel of a F1 car and does not treat idiots lightly.. both Russel and the FIA are really being idiotic in my view.. Cannot stand Russel's British attitude at all.. Go Max, go, you have millions of supporters behind you from all over the globe, except Britian

no ref deserves immunity from criticism, every ref should be forced to explain their actions or face immediate dismissal from their post. they need to remember that they are not god and that they constantly make mistakes that go unpunished

As a Max follower I do agree that this penalty is correct. ...
However...quite often first corner incidents in lap 1 are not punished....
That may be an incosistency.

But the bias this race was NOT that Max got this penalty but that Russell got free after impeding Lawson in quallyfying when Lawson was on a FAST
But one race earlier Max got 1 grid AND a penalty point when he drove slowly because of Alonso ahead of him where Russel himself wa NOT on a fast lap....which should give the same explanation as for Russel this qualy....Had no effect on qualifying so no further investigation instead of penalizing Max....
OR

Giving Russel the standard 3 place grid penalty for impeding someone on a FAST round.

@6:17 Russel said he is a bully but nothing has been proven so he did not got exposed. Brittish media (Skynews) even reported that Verstappen was not even swearing at the stewards wich Russel said he did.

If a steward hasn’t driven in this series they’re worthless!

Although being Dutch and a Max fan I think he was wrong BUT this was a typical 'first corner in first round' incident. Not worth a 10 seconds penalty. If Max prevented this accident by hitting the brakes the FIA was the first to give him a penalty for braking.

It’s like asking a soldier or a fighter pilot to not swear. Unrealistic to say the least.

If Verstappen is the champion, then his actions are that of a champion, despite what any armchair philosopher may say. As for russell "exposing" Verstappen, that's nonsense. russell's got that mercedes whine instilled in him from pewis and toto. As for pewis "standing up to" Verstappen in '21, it was quite the other way around. pewis was the defending champion, and pewis couldn't handle the heat.

FIA is a joke att the moment as a mclaren fan but also a max verstappen fan yes max is att fault but not worth a 10sec penalty and overall FIA director needs too be fired and a full ooverhaul is needed

the FiA running the greatest driver out of the sport is the worst business decision ever

The 10 second penalty was deserved but the 2 points is over the top, and a bitter act to try to help other drivers. They dont like Max, and thats obvious.

Having grown up in the '60's witnessing the birth of the Beatles, I can still remember a wholesome God-fearing world, when kids caught cursing got grounded for a week. Divorce was a dirty word. Obeying your parents and following the golden rule was the norm. However, by 1973, I turned 12 and the world I knew was turned on it's head. Hearing some kids curse was nothing. Most kids were growing up in single parent households and post Vietnam, you better believe there was a whole lotta cursing going on. So don't make me laugh. The world is way past that wholesome God-fearing society we once knew. To act worried about hearing kids curse because they heard F1 drivers cursing? Give me a break! You're being ridiculously naive. There's much more important values to teach kids today and it definitely doesn't start with "not" cursing. How about, stay off drugs, get an education and don't make your parents regret spending all their money on your F1 career.

They should delay the transmission of the public side of things and have a dump "key" like live radio does for live public radio when they have callers on the line.
