How to animate WAVES

There’s more than one way to achieve a good-looking wave animation, but here’s what I find easiest yet also effective. You can use any animation program, but ideally one with layers. You can still follow along without layers, but you’ll need to find your own way to do some steps.

If you subscribe, I add a dot to a wooden canvas that represents you! The more dots added, the more the stipple drawing will be revealed!

one cool effect could be the sand starting off darker right after the water pulls back on it, and then gradually lighten up each frame until the water covers it again
