Teaching good, Exegesis. For long I was taught otherwise. Now I know the greatest problem in the Church is wrong interpretation of scripture. Lord have mercy on your church and bring the help.
Beloved thank you, I appreciate your great work and grace.

We are to follow Jesus. His life, love, compassion and OBEDIENCE. Peter said some of Paul's letters are hard to understand which ignorant and unstable people cant understand. Ignorant wasn't an insult back then. It was simply a term for people not understanding something. 119 ministries is just trying to help True followers follow Him correctly. It's not a yoke keeping the commandments. If you think it is then your not born again

To sum up:

If God told you to take your shoes off in the house, you would do it because you wanted a good relationship with him.

You would be obedient because you respect, honor, and love Him.

We would not say, “But, Paul said it was ok.” (Because, as we know, Paul was made to repent for this declaration in Acts 21).

There is no replacement.... to say Yeshua did away with His Fathers Yahweh Law would make Yeshua double minded. Think about it 😊

As someone who has been part of Hebrew Roots the past 2 years, I still can see why evangels cling to not seeing the Law as something to observe. These Acts 15 verses are pretty obvious...Yah has me just needing to be obedient to Him, but it's hard to argue this. That being said, I try to see it that I am saved thru faith in Yeshua alone, however, there is nothing wrong, legalistic or unreasonable for me to be Torah observant, as that pleases the Father.

8And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us; 9And put no difference between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith. 10Now therefore why tempt ye God, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear? 11But we believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved, even as they.

Meanwhile, I think James is also spot on, as he appears to be assuming that as a former gentile but now as good as a native born, aka grafted in, I should be going to "synagogue" on sabbath to keep learning the Law of Moses. Not that his saves me, but it is something I should desire.

Known unto God are all his works from the beginning of the world. 19Wherefore my sentence is, that we trouble not them, which from among the Gentiles are turned to God: 20But that we write unto them, that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood. 21For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day.

I guess if Christ said to murder your neighbor people would argue not to. Its amazing how so much anger people have when it comes to obeying the one they call their Savior

Acts 15: The Circumcision of Moses

What does it mean to be circumcised in the manner of Moses? Did Moses circumcise the foreskin of any male while the children of Israel were in the wilderness for forty years? At the Jerusalem Council the apostles debated whether the newly converted Gentiles had to keep the Law of Moses. Some members stressed that the Gentiles could not be saved unless they were circumcised. Circumcision can refer to the foreskin, but we also see circumcision is used spiritually, referring to a clean and changed mind or heart within man. This type of circumcision requires the removal of our sins in order to become a new creature in Christ.

Deuteronomy 30:6 KJV
“And the LORD thy God will circumcise thine heart, and the heart of thy seed, to love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, that thou mayest live.”

Romans 2:29 KJV
“But he is a Jew, which is one inwardly; and circumcision is that of the heart, in the spirit, and not in the letter; whose praise is not of men, but of God.”

When we understand the word doesn’t always refer to the physical act, we can begin to understand he spiritual meaning, how circumcision means to cleanse us from iniquity whether it’s inwardly or outwardly. The law of animal sacrifice was a type of outward circumcision according to the letter of the law. Moses never circumcised the foreskin of a male while he led the children of Israel in the wilderness. He did not circumcise his own son. Zipporah, his wife, did it herself to save Moses from God’s wrath.

Exodus 4:24-25 KJV
24And it came to pass by the way in the inn, that the LORD met him, and sought to kill him.
25Then Zipporah took a sharp stone, and cut off the foreskin of her son, and cast it at his feet, and said, Surely a bloody husband art thou to me.

Joshua son of Nun had to circumcise the children born in the wilderness who were now adults. If Moses circumcised the foreskin then he would have circumcised the children born in the wilderness when they were born on the eighth day.

Joshua 5:2-5 KJV
2At that time the LORD said unto Joshua, Make thee sharp knives, and circumcise again the children of Israel the second time.
3And Joshua made him sharp knives and circumcised the children of Israel at the hill of the foreskins.
4And this is the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, that were males, even all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.
5Now all the people that came out were circumcised: but all the people that were born in the wilderness by the way as they came forth out of Egypt, them they had not circumcised.

Because we know Moses never circumcised the foreskin of a male while they were in the wilderness, we know the circumcision discussed in Acts 15 is not about removing the foreskin. It is about another process of circumcision to keep God from killing his people: the law of animal sacrifices or the Law of Moses.

John 7:21-23
21Jesus answered and said unto them, I have done one work, and ye all marvel.
22Moses therefore gave unto you circumcision; (not because it is of Moses, but of the fathers;) and ye on the sabbath day circumcise a man.
23If a man on the sabbath day receive circumcision, that the law of Moses should not be broken; are ye angry at me, because I have made a man every whit whole on the sabbath day?

Moses gave the people circumcision through the law of animal sacrifices (Law of Moses) because of the sins of the fathers (those who Moses led out of Egypt). The fathers built a golden calf which was a major sin against God. By the blood of the animals, they were not killed since sin requires death and blood for atonement. (Hebrews 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.)

Jesus perfected the Law of Moses by becoming man and living a righteous life, then dying as a perfect, blameless sacrifice for the sins of all those that believed and will believe in Him. That is also why it was unnecessary for Paul to circumcise Titus when Jesus fulfilled the law of animal sacrifice. Paul circumcised Timothy because Timothy was a Greek and outsiders were considered unclean to the Jews. If a Jew were in the company of a Gentile, they would become unclean, because the Gentiles did not keep any of the purification laws through the Law of Moses. However, God showed Peter in a vision in Acts 10 not to call any man common or unclean. Through the blood of Christ, all are cleansed and made new, the middle wall of partition (Ephesians 2:14) which separated the Israelites and Gentiles was broken. The sacrifices for sins and purification by the Law of Moses ended when Jesus died.

In the end, God will judge us on the things written in the books of the laws of God (Revelation 20:11-14). The commandments of God are spiritual and last forever (Psalm 111:8).

Bottom line, and this is from Jesus himself. “I am preparing a place for those who OBEY me!” Period. Sounds like obedience is mandatory to me. Not one person, as far as I’m aware, in the Bible ever taught differently.

But even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart. Nevertheless when it shall turn to the Lord, the vail shall be taken away. 2 CORINTHIANS 3:15-16

119Ministries well, I paused this video/teaching several times to absorbe, or try to, the texts and its meaning. Hal Lindsey has a teaching on Paul about going to the temple, exactly using these texts, and honestly, I ended up confused. Orthodoxy (proper belief) comes before orthopraxy (proper behavior). I need to dedicate more time, turn off my cellphone, and open my Bible as I navigate through this teaching. Our TRUE faith produces good works (fruit?). I also know, believe, and understand that Holy Scripture does not contradict itself, after all it is the written Word of God. I’ll also watch your teaching series “The Pauline Paradox”. Thanks and Shabbat Shalom!

Has anyone else noticed that Acts21:25 has a whole section added by translators that changes the whole meaning?

Let's go from the second half of v24.

...you yourself also walk orderly and keep the law.
25“But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written and decided that they should observe no such thing, except(fn) that they should keep themselves from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality.” (NKJV)

The footnote says that the original bible text does not have the line "that they should observe no such thing, except"

So it should say

you yourself also walk orderly and keep the law.
25“But concerning the Gentiles who believe, we have written and decided that they should keep themselves from things offered to idols, from blood, from things strangled, and from sexual immorality.”

AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT MESSAGE!

Shocking how bible interpreters can change the entire meaning of the message.

FYI, I don't like the NIV for this very reason, but even the NIV gets this verse translation right.
