my mom puts it in the pan with tomato and Bell peppers and then adds water after the meat is done frying. the water almost fully evaporates and leaves a really delicious broth to put on your rice with the kebab😋

My go to meal when I was in college, so easy! Sometimes I like to crack an egg on the side and cook it with my tomatoes

I’d give you a 9.5 out of ten easily. You can also add some tomatoes cut in half when you flip the kebab for the first time. Then have it with some Persian rice. Personal tip is to put your rice into the pan so it would absorb all the flavours 😋

If necessary, use a mix of beef and lamb. Otherwise, it’s traditionally just made of lamb (80:20 or 70:30) onions, turmeric, pepper & salt.
Flatten & Make the skewer shapes in the pan first, then turn on the heat and add a knob of butter here and there.

Served ideally with rice, alongside some pan roasted tomatoes (with a knob of butter), spring onions or shallots & fresh herbs such as mint, basil and parsley. Sumac is an optional extra.
