This is a Nokia 2110i GSM900 phone from 1994. The original (non "i" version) 2110 was released in 1993. This is a GSM900 phone and can still be used anywhere in the world EXCEPT the Americas/Canada. (The Version of this phone compatible with American/Canadian cellular networks is also shown in this video).

There is NO nokia 2010 shown in this video....when I say nokia "2010" around 8 minutes in I mean a Nokia "2110"....not 2010!!!
sorry...even I get confused with so many nokias! ;-)

It's so amazing to see an unboxing of old technology that is unused. Just like it was bought yesterday

Nice Video! I just reactivated my Nokia 2110 and 2110i today. I bought them from Ebay, luckily the battery is still ok. I also got a new SIM and after some charging they both work fine :) I will use one of them in my 'swedish brick' - (Volvo 850) with the original hands free telephone accessory

nokia 2110 is one of popular phone companies. Kinds very much!
And remember that on April 3, 1973?! Big date already, on this occasion, just shot a video on your channel, invite! You have a lot of the first handsets from Motorola, always happy.

All I knew before this video was that this was the phone that introduced what we now know as the Nokia tune.

My first phone was the Nokia 2120 variant on US Cellular. It used D-AMPS/TDMA and I regretted getting it instead of a GSM phone. US Cellular's network was not great in the mid 1990s and often fell back to analog AMPS for calls and were full of static and audio breaks, a problem my GSM using friends didn't have. Once my contract was done, I switched to Sprint and stayed with them for several years. The 2120 itself was a solid phone and I really liked the design.

Heh', that was my first cellphone! My dad had at that time switched to a Motorola model so he gave me his old Nokia 2110i around 1995/1996. Had it for about a year and a half and then moved onto a Nokia 5120

Those old phones really have some kind of charm to them, the oldest one I have is just Siemens M35, but it still has that nostalgic feel :3
Also, ringtone Type 7 sounds like Ievan Polkka :D

Cool! I also have a 2110i! Sadly it only works on charge and it also doesn't want to work with my SIM, even though 2G is still very much alive here where I live :(

Hi! I noticed there were people asking where to get batteries earlier in this thread. Would you be able to guide me as well to right direction how to obtain a new working battery for my Nokia 6650 (year 2003) and Nokia 2110?

Does the particular kind of nokia phone need the battery in order to power on when plugged into the wall?
