The Coltrane Pentatonic or Kumoi Scale

The 2nd Mode of the Locrian Pentatonic is what some have called the Coltrane Pentatonic. However, it also exists as a 5-note scale in Japanese traditional music called the Kumoi scale. In our context, however, we can use it over a minor7(b5) chord a minor step below, or a minor 6th chord starting on the same root.
