'Strong person of interest' arrested in UnitedHealthcare CEO killing

A "strong person of interest" has been arrested in connection to the death of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson after a McDonald's employee recognized his description from a police flyer, according to the New York Police Department.

The man was taken into custody in Altoona, Pennsylvania after police received a tip that he was eating at a McDonald's, according to Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch.

NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny identified 26-year-old Luigi Nicholas Mangione as a person of interest taken into custody on firearm charges stating he was born and raised in Maryland, has ties to San Francisco and his last known address is Honolulu, Hawaii.
