The part where it says you can only do five years is not true by the way :) a lot of veterans just choose to stay five years, but there’s some that have done six and there was even one that did seven that I know of. As of right now, this is Chandi’s sixth year.

I hope these ladies can start getting the proper recognition /respect they deserve. NFL cheerleaders get paid scraps but are expected to do so much. They are ambassadors of the business and are grossly underpaid.

For people who don’t know the longest time a vet has stayed on the team is 8 years. VonCeil and Vanessa Baker. Then a more well known cheerleader was Sydney Durso who appears on Seasons 3-9 (7 years) of Making the Team.

Actually you don’t have to retire after 5 years. If you watched Making the Team on CMT you’ll see majority used to retire at 6

They also can cut veterans so it’s not necessarily a certain amount of spots open for rookies, I have been watching the shows since I was a little girl with my mom and have watched plenty of veterans been cut. I say this cause it’s not that clear I’m the video.
