[OUTDATED] How to Patch Touhou Games on Steam on Linux

Playing the Touhou games on GNU/Linux is no problem. Even THCRAP works like you would expect it to, at least until you try to have Steam integration as well.

All credit goes to tactikauan for the wrapper, Touhou Patch Center and their contributors for their translation efforts, and ZUN for his amazing games.

(You can make spaces work if you put ""'s around the folder that contains spaces and change line 23 to sed -r "s@ waitforexitandrun@& $THCRAP_CONFIG@")

I'm getting stuck on the "finding games" step. The file explorer that wine brings up won't show my steam folders. I checked the "show dot files" box in winecfg but that still won't show the folder I need. On SteamOS on the steam deck. Trying to manually type the path didn't work either.

I think I'm doing everything fine but when I launch the game from steam nothing happens, it works fine if I create a shortcut tho but I'd rather have it launch from steam

i get to the point where i need to select the game folders at 1:49 but when i select a touhou game folder it detects nothing/nothing happens. i made sure there were no spaces in the folder names. and i know that the same touhoufolders work under windows.

Can you remember which wine/winetricks version you had when you made this video? Installing dotnet from the script worked fine for me, but booting thcrap.exe fails with "RoGetActivationFactory Failed to find library for I have a hunch it may have something to do with proprietary drivers, but unsure.
