I believe David Platt exemplifies the evil shepherds we are warned about in God's word. I would hope Christians would leave that church and come out from under his influence. If Platt is at heart one of God's children, we can confidently leave it to God to sort it all out with him when he gets home.

Todd, from what I've heard about David Platt, I seriously question that he's a brother in the Lord. It's so sad what has happened to McClain Bible Church. Lon Solomon, the former pastor, must be heartbroken.

A true brother obeys the Word of God. To promote CRT is a red flag.

CRT is a problem at McClean BC but Platt and the SBCV went in to take over the church and make the SBC against their documents. Then as they pushed folks out they unveiled CRT. AS an SBC endorsed Chaplain it grieves me what has been done.

I am not in a hurry to get back to the church building, sadly. the same pastors that harped on Hebrews 10:25 closed their doors during covid, and that along with all the deception and dividing on doctrines that have nothing to do with salvation became too much for this new believer. I will read my Bible and pray for understanding, and cling to the couple Christian friends that I have.

One of the many interesting things about the David Platt documentary is that he sent his proxies to continue to press trespassing charges against some members of McLean Bible Church for speaking up during a meeting even though the charges were immediately dismissed by local authorities.

The documentary is troubling but must be seen to warn the church of more of this behavior coming to a church near you...

As an African American Christian that goes to a 90% white Church, I feel like racism is one sin that I cannot talk about at church. If someone discriminates against me and I talk about it, I feel like it will make my brothers in the church so uncomfortable that I will suffer isolation.

I’m not entirely sure we can call him a brother sadly. The social justice movement is another gospel altogether and Paul is really clear in Galatians that if anyone should preach another gospel to you other than the one passed down from them, he is accursed.

Todd, if you've not watched the documentary on this issue, then that is an oversight before you spoke on this issue. There is so much more going on in the McClean issue beyond just CRT. It's politics, it's monetary, it's abusive leadership...
