I just got my Remington the other day.
Just finished my first self-cut using a 1.5.
Some advice for you.... Use a second mirror, like a hand mirror, to see the back while cutting. Another thing... I had some dark spots in the back that wouldn't cut. I thought hmm, maybe I should go against the grain to get to them but I was hesitant about it. Well, I'm glad I did! Against the grain worked perfectly! The guard prevented any bald-spotting.

Just hold a smaller mirror behind you like in a barber shop and look in the main mirror in front of you and go upwards from the neckline.

Even though barbers are now open again, it's actually quite awkward with all the rules, including both you and your barber having to wear face masks. Plus, barbers and hairdressers are supposed to sterilize their equipment after each cut, which means a longer wait.

That's presuming they even do it every time and my guess is some might not and we wouldn't know. I wouldn't blame them because it must feel like bordering on the obsessive but the point is, I reckon it is less hassle just cutting your own hair nowadays. I've ordered one of these clippers and even if it's not perfect, it's much less bother than all the messing around going to the barbers or hairdressers at the moment. Thanks.

Enjoyed your video, as I got one of those things too...Nice! As to the back of your head, in general, go against the grain, so from the front go backwards to the top of your head. And from the back, start at the bottom of your neckline and pull the Shortcut up the back of your head to the top. That's how you do it! Just do that a few times both ways and it will go a bit more efficiently for you without so much back and forth. Good item!

BEWARE cheaper knockoffs of this product, the ones that run on a rechargeable battery. The battery will malfunction and you will be left with an expensive paperweight after about 2 months. You see guys getting ripped off over and over again. Just a disaster. Spend the $$$ for a name brand Panasonic, Remington, etc that you can slide a couple of AAA batteries into to make it work.
