SimXperience Stage 5 Racing Simulator Impressions

For most sim racers a simple rig, or a wheel at a desktop is adequate for getting the job done and at the same time works within our budgets. With that said, we still find ourselves dreaming of the ultimate sim racing experience and what it would be like. Darin and I recently went to hang out with the guys at SimXperience and try out a variety of new toys for sim racers that all combined, make up the Stage 5 full motion simulator from them.

You guys have really picked it up. Pumping out so many videos and I'm loving it. Thank you Shaun and Darin and crew

iRacing communicates with controllers at 60hz, it (pretty much) doesn't matter if your controls run at 125, 250, 500 or 1000z, but perhaps in the future it may make a difference when the sims go 'faster'.

I was looking to get something better than my G27, I found it, and it's only 22 500$, I'll take 2.

Amazing to see all this technology advance! I hope it continues to do so so that we can somewhat still enjoy the fun of driving gas engine cars at least virtually when they've been replaced by electric cars in reality.

Shaun: Since you had tried the CXC simulator, can you offer your view on comparison between CXC and Simxperience stage 5? The CXC costs many times more, but it is 2DoF simulator indeed while the Simxperience stage 5 is "3DoF".

Holy shit! Lol I remember my first wheel and pedal set up was on a Nintendo 64! Lol that was the suction cup mounted wheel! Haha! I can't remember the brand name of the wheel and pedal though. 😫 but Ya, wow has technology come a long way since then! Just started watching this channel about an hour ago. Glad I found it! Keep up the good work and information!

less is more in the vr dept too, the headset does 90% of the work you only need a small push to trick your mind the rest of the way.

Hi thinking of getting a motion sim for my home would you still recommend this setup? The video is 3 years old was hoping if there is another motion sim you would recommend that is newer and better?

Sooo, what's your rating on this simulator? I've been looking at it and another one called Podium1. They are both eye catching and look like what I'm looking for. I raced for 20+ years, road and circle track, so I'm looking for something that will bring that thrill back into my head. So from 1 to 10, what's your opinion??

Does the Stage 5 come with the newest Accuforce stuff? ...and I didn't notice any e-brake, but would it come with an analog-based e-brake? What type of pedals does it come with; do they include hydraulic based pedals or at least a load-cell based brake pedal? Someday I think it would be awesome to have this in my home along with some rally racing sims.

8:25 I wish I had a symphony of all the pizzas that would work together. My pizza symphony never gets along.

Amazing product but what these type of motion seats have a problem...they can´t give you the feel of inertia. They move and vibrate but not as much as it really should be.
There are some that do the "full motion" and give you the feeling of actual braking, accelerate or even in a crash impact. (you need a seatbelt for those of course because you can be ejected from it, lol)

nice setup but the pedals should be moving with the seat too give that real feel under your feet :)

People are using Arduino boards to use real BMW dash for speed and tachometer and shift displays, someone needs to take a wheel from a real car and program it to work in a sim machine. Then everyone can go to the Pick A Part junkyard and get everything you need dirt cheap and build a chair with shocks that react to the steering wheel numbers.

Question to anyone: should i get a xbox1 for forza5 or a laptop alienware? I dont know nothing about racing on pc and im not sure iracing would fit my schedule because i think in that sim, i would have to match others racing time vs playing as soon as i have spare moments. Also, i would like to know if i can have 3 screen on a alienware laptop? And what sim is best on pc. Thanks anyone!
