My favorite bologna sandwich is thick sliced bologna fried in butter with onions. On fresh bread it is the bomb!!

Fried bologna sandwiches are so underrated. In a grilled cheese or just fried with a big of mayo. Heaven, nostalgic, delicious.

So my favourite with baloney (that isn’t peanut butter and baloney) is actually a breakfast sandwich:
1) fry the baloney and an egg
2) cheese on the baloney and egg on top to melt
3) ideally you’ll want an English muffin but when it comes to bread, you do you. But toast whatever you use and butter/mayo it.
4) assembly. I like to add some salt to my egg while she fries and I use Tabasco or another hot sauce for that peppery kick. Add whatever other toppings you see fit on sandwich

I don't eat bologna much these days, but as a kid bologna sandwiches were a lunch staple! Pretty sure I used to just have it on plain white bread with American cheese. Funny enough, the first time I ever tried mayo and/or miracle whip was on a bologna sandwich at a church function and the addition of mayo was life changing for me 😆 So my perfect simple nostalgic version of the humble bologna sandwich is white bread, American cheese, and miracle whip or mayo!

I always add black pepper to both sides of the bologna before frying. Delicious results!

I was raised with fried bologna egg and cheese with a toasted sandwich with a side of fried potatoes and onions. You can use condiments of your choosing with both. Talk about oh so good and feel good to eat on any day. Thank You for sharing🥰
