Parts of this chanting sounds like of Ottanthullal art from Kerala India. Rest sounds like Hindu priestly chanting.
Goes to show the amount of cultural exchanges that happened in the past, little of which we learn from text books.
Its impressive how the Central Asians, Chinese, Koreans and Japanese transferred the knowledge across the distance and time while maintaining alot of the essence of original Indian chants.

i love this chant and the drum beat without understanding one word. As you all know early Buddhist prayers were all in Sanskrit and then spread from India to other Asian countries. Buddhism also spread from China to Japan and Korea. So all Buddhist prayers based on the ancient scripts are all Sanskrit in origin. Close your eyes, relax, sit in a meditative pose and enjoy the prayer. Absorb the vibration and energy of the words and the drums and gongs. May you be blessed with peace and health in your life.
