Yeah are all those ht's most of them don't have back lights on them anymore I think the Yaesu dupe with they're basically the same orange color I like the yellow on the Kenwood you could see it really good when you can see the numbers it's great for night use don't let anybody tell you different that radio a beautiful radio Kenwood knows what you're doing

Bought one of those after trying the Baofeng. Didn't care for the disco backlight or the clumsy programming of the Baofeng. Absolutely love my TH-K20A. Am usually complimented on signal and audio quality with new contacts. I bought the Diamond SRH77CA antenna and got a very nice improvement on ability to hit some of the marginal local repeaters. I can easily work the closest 3 repeaters on 1 watt. I Use it mobile with a mag mount antenna. Battery will get warm on long QSOs unless you keep some space between your hand and the back of the radio. Probably the best 2 meter monoband HT outthere.

Hey Dave I love mine it's the greatest because I bought the icom v86 just because it had more power seven Watts the Kenwood was five and a half Watts but what I didn't know about the icom the keypad doesn't light up try walking around at night with that yeah you know what I mean for the Kenwood keypad and light I love that Amber or yellow whatever color it is it's it's bright and you can see everything with it so it's a great compact radio much nicer than the icom thank you for your reply I just received it in my Gmail it's nice that people respond keep up the good work and keep making more videos I really enjoy your unboxing of the Kenwood th-k20a

I just started my HAM radio course and picked one of these up last week! Great quality and feels secure in the hand. I tried the Chinese radios and hated them all as they all felt like cheap plastic.

can we have a better look at how the belt clip works, I've 3x D72's and the belt clip is a bit tricky to use.

Is this radio Narrowbandable for use in receiving Police & and fire channels? No one seems to know a whole lot about the radios they buy judging bye all the videos I have seen on this product. I am a Police officer and wouldn't mind this as a back up radio if it is indeed good enough for the job
