Just happened into my local hifi store (Lavish in Santa Rosa, CA) when they had just received their first two, long awaited MA252s.  The salesman opened on of them and hooked it up to (coincidentally) the very same speakers I have at home (KEF R300) and the same streaming player that I have at home (Bluesound Node 2 streaming Tidal).  10 minutes of listening later, the unopened one was mine.  They tell me I'm likely the first in CA to own one.  The typical McIntosh high-quality coupled with value of this unit is a breakthrough for the McIntosh line.  Sublime.  I suspect they will be able to sell as many of them as they are able to produce.

Awesome looking amp. Still makes me laugh when enthusiastic hifi owners show off the amazing sounds from there biblically priced speakers. And we're sat in awe listening to this on our teeny tiny mobile phone speakers 😂😂😂

Macintosh always made great looking amps.  A lot of people listen with their eyes.  Still a nice amp.

PrimaLuna: built in China since 2006. McIntosh: built in the US since 1949. I’ll go with the McIntosh.
