Refrigerator leaking water, easy fix

This is the easy way to fix a refrigerator that is leaking water.

If you have a fridge that looks like this and it's leaking water down inside you see my cup here is full of water or it's leaking water down here at the bottom, excuse the nasty fridge this is a rental unit it isn't my fridge. The quick way to fix it is to pull the back panel off from this and take the ice maker out and everything and take a hair dryer to it and defrost it all. Because the problem is the drain hole for the freezer where the condensation drains out is frozen over. So, you can take all this apart hit it with a hair dryer and you can get it fixed in about 20 minutes. The easy way to fix the problem is to take the crisper drawer out of the bottom, slide it in there to catch any water that's going to drip down turn the fridge off and let it sit for about two days. One day is probably fine but I'm gonna let it sit for two just to be safe. You want to leave the doors open to make sure it doesn't get all nasty inside. When you come back in a couple of days it'll be all defrosted inside you can close the doors turn it back on and it should be working fine.

Good video! Sometimes, tenents spill small amounts of food in the freezer, usually little bits of whatever frozen meals from bags.
So, when I came across those bits, I'd turn off the fridge, let stand for a few hours with door open & I'd pull the back face plate in the freezer & take a shop vac to that hole. The shop vac takes out all that nasty. Wipe up any mess, put it back together & usually/mostly ready to go.

Hi thanks for this video! We got a very similar fridge (LG) and saw water collection inside the fridge compartment. The water gradually moved out from the bar on the wall (the bar with holes to mount the shelves, and it is right in front of us if we open the door). But after we defrosted it still didn’t work. Do you have any idea about what should we do? Thanks a lot!

The little water drop catch in the fridge part is filled water that’s frozen over. Should I just hair dry it?

Mine is extremely hot on the front at base if freezer. Where the top door closes.

I have this exact same issue happening to mine. However, there is no water line connected to the fridge for the ice maker, will this method resolve my issues? I just don’t understand where the water is coming from

The problem is the rubber piece on the back drain tube, defrost and take that rubber piece off.

I always just flush with hot water using a turkey baster.

Or the line is clogged with gunk then u need to clean out the hose
