Living in a big city in the US and working in corporate America, there is nothing more that I wish than to live a more simple life like this. Living off the land and farm, working hard on your own land and making all of your food from your harvests. Surrounded by family and animals, all pitching in and sharing time together. I truly believe this is the way humans should live...it is so much more meaningful.

Beautiful larder. Sauerkraut, smoked sausage and bread. Nicely done, ma'am. You provide well for meals with what's available. The children watch learn and copy what you do. This is how it should be. The son helps the father with the farm chores. This, too, is how it should be. It is going to show others how to do things. Many have no inkling of what it takes to feed a family for a year. They foolishly think foods only come from a store. They will have trouble surviving hard times. You both have done well with your family and farm.
