City council probes why public barred from renovated restrooms

Half a million dollars went into renovating the public restrooms at Mud Island Park in Downtown Memphis. But the public hasn’t been able to use those restrooms since April.

Memphis City Council wanted answers from Memphis River Parks Partnership (MRPP), the non-profit in charge of operating the park.
