It’s disappointing to read all the haters on here. As an actual Lucid owner, I have 100% confidence in their long term plan. I’ve driven 25k miles in 1.5 years won many road trips, breezing past chargers others would be forced to stop at because of the range. Their service people are the best of the best, and having learned from people who engineered this vehicle, the advances in space optimization and drivetrain technology are next level and ahead of all other automakers. Aston Martin could have chosen anyone to make their EV motors, so how does that make Lucid the Titanic as one poster said on here? Progress happens in steps, not all at once and it takes time and massive investment, and it’s very short sighted and lacks vision to fixate on a stock price for a company in an expansion phase.

I sincerely hope that Lucid will make it big as their cars are far superior to any other maker including Tesla. Tom is was a great interview, thank you.

The Lucid Air is such an elegant and smart design with record interior room and a real luxury feeling!
When the market picks up, the Gravity could already be the pivot model for Lucid!
I wish the whole team and Peter a successful continuation!

Thank you for bringing us the interview with Peter Rollinson.
It’s easy to say ‘NAY’ endlessly and a darn difficult to build a path to success, esp in the automotive sector. Glad to see Lucid moving for the long-haul. The sooner the Gravity and then ‘mid-size’ comes the better. The big Q: will the price be low enough for the time and expectations of customers. Time will tell.

Outstanding info. Between Lucid mid-size and the Macan EV reveal, there's a lot of great choices coming in the electric market. And man, Rawlinson is such a good brand ambassador.

My friend owns a Lucid and absolutely loves it. I think Lucid is building the best EV’s right now.

Although I'm a Tesla owner, I really like this guy and want Lucid to.succeed. Test drove an Air and it's got fantastic suspensions, very quiet in cabin, great quality of materials, more driver's car than Model-S imho ...

I like that Lucid is providing longer range options than other EV brands. I would consider Lucid for my next car. I have a 2014 Tesla Model S with the 85 kWh battery that I would like to replace with a longer range travel car in a few years. Lucid might be a good option at that time. I hope they do well.

This tells me they’re more focused on long term plans and current demand issues isn’t bothering them as much. Sign of a company with very deep pockets. Theyre in for the long run. PIF (or any investor) wouldn’t have funded quadrupling the factory apart from a new factory in Saudi if they were only interested in current demands.

I withheld investing years ago only because of the speculative spikes that had people in for less than a few months for their own benefit. I don’t know of a better purchase opportunity for long term growth than this team of engineers relentless pursuit of EV development. Great interview Tom. Thanks Peter 👍🏼

Also, for those who are complaining about delivery numbers, in 2023 Lucid delivered more sedans in the US than every other EV sedan in its class, except for Porsche Taycan. So beating Mercedes Audi and BMW sales of luxury performance EVs is a positive, isn’t it?

To be honest I haven't seen any real reason to doubt Peter. Unlike other business leaders he has delivered on every promise made. I cannot wait to test drive a Gravity and see where this business goes. Wishing them all the luck in the world.

I’m rooting for them. I was an initial skeptic but the SavageGeese documentary helped me see what they’re up to. I do appreciate that they seem purpose driven to be EV optimized and to be drivers’ cars.

I think this is the antidote to the generic nature of modern cars. I’m not mad that EVs have no sound or only screens. I’m mad that we’re paying a premium for cars trying to be something they’re not. Hans Zimmer fake sounds. Etc. I can appreciate a car that is thoughtfully designed whatever its drivetrain
